Store Review:

"Cabernet Sauvignon is known as the King of Red Grapes, and this California Cabernet lives up to its title. It teases the nose with hints of vanilla and oak, and excites the palate with flavors of dark cherry, caramel, and coffee. It is royally smooth and bold. Pair it with grilled fish, pasta dishes, or chicken salad for the full royal treatment!"

Wine Folly:

Pg. 88 - Cabernet Sauvignons in general are known for their significantly rich flavors. They're known to go well with rich grilled meats and dishes that have peppery flavors that really grab you.
The same is true for the Parkers Estate 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon. Typically Cabernet Sauvignons are a very rich wine in flavor which could potentially clash with these pairings but the Parkers Estate is not one of those examples. It is a much more smooth wine and seems to compliment these dishes well based on its flavor profile. Like most, it has significant flavors from dark cherry.

My Review:

The Parkers Estate 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon was very solid. I typically don't really enjoy Cabernet Sauvignons, they have such significant body and high tannin content that I find the taste too rich and not balanced enough. But as far as Cabernet Sauvignons go for me, the Parkers Estate edition delivered quite nicely. The hints of vanilla in this wine were significant and a great touch. It was very smooth while still capturing the flavor very well without sending my taste buds into shock. I was very impressed by this wine, I had it with some pasta my roommate made for dinner and it was an excellent pairing, though I think it would do well on its own as a sipping wine. (8.5/10)
